Merry England
I turn on one of the taps. Cold water comes out. I turn on the other. Same thing. I turn on both and wait a few minutes to see if there is any difference. Where am I? A hotel in England of course. (The front door will be locked at 11:00 pm sharp).
A notice on the wall says 'This payphone will be removed on (a date in the far distant past).' Rather than 'If you were thinking that there might be a phone here and wanted to make a call - tough.' Why else would the notice be left up? Because it was not part of the contract?
