Backtracking
Back to South Ken after a decade or two. Abit like 'another flip'. My old student house is now a hotel. One of those luxury ones that feels it has to advertise that bedlinen is included. My old room is now the reception. At least I think it was - could perhaps have been the house next door :-)
Not much else has changed. You can still hang a right into Queensberry place from Cromwell Road. Angelsey Arms still going strong. Strong French influence from the Lycee. (Get confused when I see a sign for Le Banese Cuisine, but finally twig...)
Then its a swift drive out past the Fox & Hounds and Mawson Arms, round the M25, up the M1 to Lorraine Chase Intl.

2005 in review
So what was it about 2005?
CREAM reunion concerts in London and New York.
Dominic Hide finally re-released.
A film version of HHGG.
The 'riddle' of Star Wars is finally revealed (if "Everything is proceding as I have foreseen it" was not enough of a give away...)
A chance to revisit some 'life-changing places'.
And perhaps some new ones...
